Construction has recently started on the refurbishment and extension to a three storey property in Kensington, London. The work is being carried out over a nine month contract period and includes the construction of a new basement below the off road parking area.
St Edwards School - Oxford
The construction of a new science block for St Edwards School in Oxford is now underway. The building on three floors comprises six laboratories, two further classrooms, together with ancillary accommodation. The construction cost is approximately £2,450,000 with a 57 week contract period.
Student Accommodation
The refurbishment of 104 Banbury Road, Oxford to provide student accommodation for the University of Georgia, USA has recently been completed. The construction cost of the project was approximately £1,200,000. During construction dry rot was discovered resulting in extensive repairs to plaster, ceiling cornices, floor joists and windows. Despite this the project was completed on time and within budget.
£8,000,000 Upgrade
Construction commenced on 30 July 2007 on an £8,000,000 upgrade of Slough & Eton C of E School in Slough, Berkshire for Slough Borough Council. The project includes a new teaching block, new main entrance and administration block, new assembly hall, new SEN block, extension to sports hall including changing facilities and upgrade of science laboratories. Completion of the project is programmed for August 2008.

According to the latest Tender Price Index compiled by BCIS, the price of new construction work rose ahead of general inflation in the year to 2nd quarter 2007.
